Edit:
Update: Hackers have been constantly on for 14 hours straight essentially locking down the entire server and preventing anyone from doing anything. As soon as you leave your base they speed upto you and kill you or aimlock you from a distance.
We've also had a plethora of other hackers throughout the wipe, but this is probably the longest single stint of blatant hacking so far
Been reporting them as they've been popping up, but fairly sure its the same group of korean players based out of W19 on the map (pretty sure).
My preference is to play vanilla servers, and my team generally opts for official ones such as Aus 1.
But getting real sick of hackers getting banned only to come back on a fresh account the next day.
I recognise and appreciate the Facepunch team doing work towards addressing hacking but its definitely far from where it needs to be. Our server has been especially plagued this wipe by the usual korean/Chinese clans who use a plethora of hackers who have access to multiple accounts that they simply switch to the following day.
Obviously these players ruin the experience for everyone else, like today, nobody has been able to really play at all for the 5-6 hours that the speed, aim and silent footstep hacking people have been on server.
Apologies for the rant, but can't Facepunch introduce more severe punishments for 2nd time offenders for those that dont learn their lessons the first time they get banned?
I'm ok with showing a little lenience toward a kid who uses hacks and gets banned first time and learns a lesson, but someone who qualifies for a ban a second time for using hacks is a chronic hacker and is deserving of e.g. a IP or hardware ban.
Rant over, cheers
