• Any thoughts on controller support?

As a born again gamer after my years of service since the SNES days, up until current generation xbox one, as with many steam games I do wonder if there will be a possible option of being able to use a controller for most commands? Call me a filthy casual if you like, I have made the jump in this past year to move to the hardcore PC gaming crowd and I'm really looking forward to see how Ruin Shapes up.
Doubt it to be honest
well I figured I'd ask anyway, worst they can say is NO lol.
Controllers are for Consoles, and Consoles are not for RUIN ...
I don't agree with this. Personally I don't think the game would be suitable for consoles and use with controllers, but perhaps it could happen?
Anything can happen for sure.. lets see..
It seems like you'd be putting yourself at a pretty big disadvantage using a controller over m/kb in something like Ruin or Rust. What comes to mind initially is UI navigation/interaction, not to mention aiming. There are countless times where quickly bringing up my inventory and eating food or throwing first-aid into my hot bar has saved my life in Rust. Or even just looting very quickly to get out of a situation as fast as possible. I can't imagine how cumbersome and inefficient a joystick would be compared to a mouse for those tasks. I'm sure it's more than doable but playing with a controller seems like a major handicap in games like Ruin or Rust. I'm sure the initial learning curve of using m/kb for a lot of things must seem pretty awkward coming from only using controllers your entire life but I promise you it will be worth the trouble. m/kb is superior for many games.
I would love to see controller support for reasons i shall not state.
