Hey guys i really need to change my username on this forum and i would like to know how to do it ?

Not, you got a chance when signing up and if you've used the previous forums before then you had a chance to change your name once.

You only have seven posts so I don't see why not just make a new account
Well i would need to delete my posts first so i dont leave traces of my previous username :/ But i can't delete my posts
Just leave your inferior shell behind and make a new one. Not like it will come back and haunt you or something.

To delete your account you need to unlink all your accounts from your facepunch account.
Garry hasn't implemented this yet though, you're out of luck
I made the same mistake - I thought that when my old FP account would be sync'd with newpunch the name would go along with it, so I typed something random in the username field and now I'm stuck with it. This sucks, I want my old name back.

I don't understand this logic. "I'm guessing, based on nothing, that the name I'm choosing right now will be overridden later... So instead of inputting a proper name just in case I'm wrong (which it turns out later, I am), I'll just put here a bunch of nonsense which I would never actually want associated with me"
Why? What reason in this world do you have to choose a name different from the one you actually want?
That said... On oldpunch, I had my name changed from Neat-Nit to NeatNit by asking politely from an admin (not garry). Newpunch probably doesn't give admins the UI to change usernames yet, but I do think it should be available to them. Don't know/care about regular users having that option.
