• idea for wipeless rust and server longevity

wipeless rust is a big goal and might be far away still but i want to throw this idea out anyway. the idea is to split the map into 3 different tiers. these tiers are islands separated by bodies of water which have to be traversed by boat. the advance from tier 1 to 2 requires a wooden raft and from tier 2 to 3 a metal boat. each island only has the components and recources needed for their tier items so on the tier 1 island you wont be able to get a tier 2 workbench or items. each island will have an npc guarding it(helicopter or a jet for example) and it will target anyone with items with a higher tier such as ak's on the stone age island. furthermore it will also target bases with a higher tier workbench in them. if a player is killed by this npc they will not drop loot, effectively removing the higher tier item from the island. these npc are indestructible the first tier will be all about the primitive combat with the revolver and waterpipe being the highest grade weapons available. metal and sulphur nodes will be scarce and stone nodes abundant. on tier 2 you can get all items from tier 1 and 2. tier 3 doesnt have a guard npc since there is no higher tier
