DELL inspirion - Intel core i7-3612QM @2.10 Ghz | 12 gb RAM | AMD HD7700M 2 gb after 30 minutes of play the laptop overheats (about 90 degrees) because of what the laptop turns off This problem has appeared after the last update of the game. I'm playing at medium settings 30-40 FPS.
HELP!
All you need to do is open your laptop and clean your fans. Your fans might be clogged up with all the dust. The second thing you can try is getting a pad with fans that cools your PC from below.
Or you can reduce the power limit on your gpu to 70-80% so It doesn't get to that level of heat , your fps will be lower thoughl.
Or you can get a cooling pad for your laptop, and check the bios so that it doesn't shut down at specific temperature. you can also add a USB powered fan and place it over the air input to assist.
DONT change your bios settings to enable you pc to overheat like this knob suggested. Rust is CPU intensive so it will easily overheat or run hot while playing. You will need to buy a cooling pad. That is the only logical fix for your problem.
90 degrees is nothing
I will say I did forget to add that cleaning/checking for proper function of his fans and heat sinks should be step 1. But i wanted him to know to NOT change his bios first and foremost. And what the hell are you stating what thermal paste does? What does that have to do with you telling him to f11 and change his temp settings?! And i need to learn what....??? "A thermal break or thermal barrier is an element of low thermalconductivity placed in an assembly to reduce or prevent the flow of thermal energy between conductive materials." 90c is super high for a cpu to have to endure. 60 is high but manageable, 90 is close to causing damage. 45-50 is normal and 60 should be about max for full load temps. You suggested for him to up from 90c to what? Fk'in melting?!@. You dont know what you are talking about, please stop misinforming people you knob!
This is funny and uneducated. Dont ever try to help someone with their pc as you are clueless
Laptop performance slowing down, or the laptop is shutting off completely because the laptop is trying to protect itself from damage caused by an excessive heat build-up. There are times when a laptop will turn off because of a virus or malware, hardware or software problems/conflicts as well. You can also take some suggestion via for resolving your query quickly.
