PROS: nice concept good poses good lighting great scenebuild CONS: DOF is choppy. that grass on the right looks like a migraine. lighting on the lefthand trees is fucky and artificial. should be more muted or distributed equally through the pose. the horse is not being fed a carrot despite clearly deserving one
Thanks! Yea, anyone know how to make SFM's depth of field look at least somewhat natural? It seems like it always comes out looking like utter crap, even at the lowest settings. It's really, really annoying. I don't know if it's something I'm doing wrong or just part of the program. Is there some way I can skip doing DOP in-engine and add it through, like, photoshop instead? I do have to work on lighting leafy trees. Figure out how to make it look like the sun is shining through them. Fake translucency, that kind of thing. I didn't notice some of those hot spots until it was too late, too.
For me DOF works bestw hen you set the render settng to 512 or above
Somehow I never realized you could change the DOF settings. I thought aperture was the only control.
Made some changes. https://i.imgur.com/Bf616I7.png https://i.imgur.com/PmaSVfE.png https://i.imgur.com/t5W4TQu.png https://i.imgur.com/htYjZHw.png
Those changes make for a huge improvement
