So if you cook meat and click eat on that meat in the fire you can eat it 20 times.
So you can basically put one wolf steak in a camp fire and wait for it to be cooked, and eat it to full health.

Was playing last night and I didn't encounter this bug and I've eating many times directly from the fire.
Same here didn't experience this bug.
I haven't noticed this, are you sure you weren't on a modded server.
