I was recently playing a a solo only procedural map, had low pop and only about 2-4 people on at a time. Anyway, i had my base set up when I get a threat to gear up for a raid by someone who i only saw playing for a couple days at most. Blew it off and decided to raid him. didn't get far before i ran out of material, he logs on to find his base partially blown up. Gets salty and I move all my loot to another base across the map in case he has any tricks up his sleeve. while moving loot I kill myself at new base and respawn at my old base, only to have a fully geared guy looking through my boxes and checking out my base design, didn't see my show up and decides to clip through wall and leave. The guy comes back and tries to act like he doesn't know the layout of my base and proceeds to raid my base knowing where the important loot is. Call him out and get banned afterwards... What do I do guys? I've already sent in a cheat report on him, but that was it before i got banned from the server.
Sounds like he was an admin... that sucks. If you like modded games with no admin abuse check out TheColony.
never play on cancer community servers...unless you personally know the admins (and know they won't screw you over)...play vanilla official
..but then again - knowing myself, and if I knew admins like in RL, I would probably ask them for favors...(IM just human)... so thats reason #2 to just play official vanilla...
most community servers are not real Rust anyway and they distort the message of what/how the real Rust is played...
You have a choice, here: Play on a Community Server that can moderate to ban cheaters, but risk abuse;
OR
Play on an Official Server, and realize everybody cheats because Facepunch can't pay for any sort of competent anti-cheat software.
Finding a good, well balanced, community server is the hardest part of the game, imo :P
