Console error spam | fire magic swep

Hello, I have experienced a lot of console error spam with a certain addon but no clue to fix it, message says as following:
'[Fire magic Weapon] lua/effects/firetrail/init.lua:24: attempt to call method 'VelocityDecay' (a nil value)
  1. unknown - lua/effects/firetrail/init.lua:24'

Now I have very little experience with lua coding & I'm not able to see anything out of the ordinary, is anyone able to help?

So if it's completely removed out of the addon, it will fix it? just no effects

Just remove the line.
