Hi, I have a machine i know isnt suffering from graphical limitations or missing drivers. I can boot into the game and play with settings and all that just fine, however I cant join ANY maps what soever cause it tries to download a whole bunch of fonts (Which arent required or used on the windows counterpart as i ripped the folder from my sisters laptop and the servers I want to join dont have a specific use either for them).
It starts with a Ubuntu-m.ttf and Ive tried to manually add them though that becomes an issue really fast with as long as it takes to add each one. Finding and downloading each isnt a problem, however the moment a font becomes visible to see its not downloading(AKA the one i have to fetch manually next) the entire pc slows down and even terminating the game doesnt restore performance it literally requires me to restart my pc (After waiting the 10 or so minutes it takes to GET to the restart button) then waiting on the restart itself just to go into browser find the font, put it in, start steam, start garrys mod and redo the entire process, i got through 4 fonts before literally almost taking a hammer to the computer.
I've tried googling any possible thing i could think might get a hit and all i get is people having issues using fonts on their servers (From the server side commands). Please tell me someone else may know what is wrong x-x thank you -> I can't stand using windows anymore GMOD was the only thing i needed windows to run till lately.
