Well since the update that when night time and there's no moon it's dark that you can't see a bloody thing, i would reccomend adding NVG in rust. Also it would help player to fight scientist at military tunnel. It would have it's own slot in clothing. In this slot you could place also sunglasses (lol jk).
no, we have miners hats, candle hats, flashlights, weapon flashlights, torches, spotlights, campfires, ceiling lights, lamps, lanterns... sunglasses is the only actually good idea here

that's kind of the point of them though, there's a risk in using them. there's no risk in night vision goggles. it just offers a massive advantage to whoever is using them with no downsides.
personally, I manage to get around in the night just fine most of the time without using any light sources.
Well there is because the "glasses" are still giving green light so you could'nt hide in a bush because you may be spotted.
