Need help with rcon/rust admin and chat console commands

I own RustVille and I am trying to make a !pop command with rust admin tool- in the triggered commands. Basically i want to make a !pop command but i cant figure out the command or code to return the amount of players online. ive tried silly things like ${playerTotal} or ${globalStatus}. These are wrong of course. Can anyone out there point me in the right direction for a guide to making a chat bat with rust admin or rcon tools?
