Please make the tree chopping more fun to do and faster. To make or more fun you could make it a little like the forest's tree chopping.
I hope you will do something with it, but you don't have to.

There are only so many ways to make mundane tasks more interesting.
I think their attempts to make resource gathering less tedious are about as good as it gets.
I think, tree chopping is good the way it is now. There's - in my oppinion - no need to make it more and more comfortable for players. Also, the chopping speed is okay. You could join modded servers for an increased rate.
More fun and faster than with the chainsaw? That thing is fast and a lot of fun to use.
Even without chainsaw, 1k wood is 30 cuts or so, fast enough, imho. And balance must be kept: you need to expose yourself harvesting so you have what to cure your sulfur with and have fun. Too fast, indeed! Why not AK and a stone at startup!? That'd speed things up....
