- Infected persons seen with large bite marks/missing limbs
- Oil prices rise slightly due to panic buys
- Nigeria calls for UN aid

- The “Chunnel”, once a marvel of engineering, is closed and permanently sealed with concrete. EU and British land trade is expected to suffer.
- The populace of the United Kingdom becomes concerned as repeated government warnings and advisories play ‘round the clock
- “Protect and Survive” PSAs spark violence amongst paranoid citizenry
- Emigration and immigration is halted, as specialized passports are required
- Agrarian production kicks into full gear, as forests in Scotland are bulldozed to be turned into wheat fields

- The Mexican military is mobilized in full, and sits at the US border in preparation for possible infection spread
- Mexican military personnel march into Belize. Due to the worldwide panic, little concern is felt for the excursion.
- Belize becomes a Mexican state, much to the anger of her citizenry
- Mexican special forces patrol the streets of major cities at night as curfews are implemented
- Mexico’s airspace becomes a no-fly zone, to the protest of tourists and workers.
- Airports are converted into medical centers for the infection. However, they are soon overrun with those who aren’t infected with the new disease, but are struggling with other medical ailments.
- Mexican cartel members are offered hefty payments and government sanctioned land in return for military service. Some join, while others stick to their older life of crime.
- Rationing begins in Mexico’s major cities. Workers in Mexico City go on strike as their food supply is cut
- Farms are subsidized and sent into overdrive, in hopes of creating a food surplus

- Their short engagements with the infected yield fruitful results on the small scale, but they are forced to retreat when numbers become an issue
- Economically, the French begin preparing for a low-scale mobilization as opposed to their neighbours
- A national militia service is set up, though voluntary, some join in fear of possible spread of infection
- The French populace seems quite calm over the ordeal, as the government has taken quiet steps to put it in place
