In the year 2026 the global Economy crashed. As tensions rose between countries bonds were broken and wars were started. After years of war what was left of Humanity fell back into the earth. The year is now 2057, You lead one of these groups stepping out into a burned out world. What Happens Next is up to you.

[I]The Desert Rangers[/I]
-The Rangers originated from a company of U.S. Army Engineers, who were tasked with building bridges over riverbeds near Las Vegas. When the world began to fall apart, the Engineers entered a nearby prison, taking control of it and banished the inmates to the surrounding deserts. With time, they invited nearby survivalist communities to join them. Wary at first, eventually these settlements joined the Engineers in the facility, now named the Ranger Center, making it one of the strongest outposts in the wastes.
-After searching the near by areas for other people, The rangers locate the BrotherHood of steel, A Friendly disposition is implied.
-Troops, Except for scout parties are to stay inside the fortress in case raiders should attack
-Some scouting parties are sent into Las Vegas, they find some achools and meds.

[I]Chicago Commonwealth[/I]
A group a traders and scrapers who joined together to take back the city of Chicago and beyond.
-After hunting around for a new place to set up shop, The Commonwealth finds what appears to be an old hospital, they set up shop in it. Some basic medical supplies were left in the building but most were looted over the years.
-After scrapping up some basic weapons (Handguns, some shotguns) the Commonwealth sets up a makeshift militia

After the war broke out, a Charismatic Man led a small town of scientists, engineers, and soldiers out into the wastes of the Nevada Desert. A Scientist, who lived next door to the Leader before the War began, identified the place they settled down on as Freedom Ridge, and specifically, it overlooked Area 51. They currently await permission to scout out Area 51, if it has been abandoned, to recover technology, and eventually rebuild the Human Race.
-Scouts are sent to Area 51 and the surrounding area, Area 51 is empty abandoned years ago at the fall of the US
-A road is located to the north west of the current location, It is believed to go to the city of Las Vegas
-Hand to Hand and Small arms training is enforced
-Soldiers are recruited from with in, Anyone can be recruited and has little choice in the matter
-Bottlecaps are set as a basic currency
-Ranks are set:

The remnants of the Izmaylovsky in New York City, Bratstvo, or "The Brotherhood" is bent on establishing a new order in the ruins of New York City to reclaim their once proud, albeit underground, empire. They have a very strict and established quasi-military ranking system and a very heavily militarised like structure.
-Some scouting is done around New york, Not much is found but some routes are located for escape should it be needed
-Some scouts are sent to the Indian point power center, some raiders are found inside but are easily taken care of. Engineers are sent to get the plant back online, however time is needed until jolly electrons will fill the lines once more.
-The borders of the Bratstvo are reinforced and armed
-Roadblocks and checkpoints are set up at all entrances to the Island, They are reinforced to stop any lollygaggers from entering the city.

-Basic Laser weapons are researched, However these weapons require lots of supplies are are rather bulky
-Basic Bio Weapons are Researched, However these weapons are unreliable and are prone to inducing mass vomiting among the group
-Power Generators are constructed and put in old subway cars. They produce enough power to run lights and basic computers

Manhattan is located on the westernmost tip of that islandy bit south of Connecticut that's attached to NY by that little bit of land.
