You take on the role of a military squad commander sent in to investigate a base contaminated by an alien mutagenic virus. "The U.S. Army has received a distress signal from Area 51 where a viral outbreak has just shut down the research facility and the automated quarantine procedures have locked all scientific and military personnel inside. A small Special Forces unit including Specialist Ethan Cole of the HAZMAT (hazardous materials) Division is sent to investigate. As Cole, players delve into the massive levels within the confines of Area 51, only to discover a deadly mutagenic side effect of the virus that controls the minds of those infected, as well as an ancient alien colony buried beneath the facility. Players will uncover the truth behind chilling conspiracies as they come across the remnants of the extraterrestrial crash at Roswell, alien autopsies, and the faked lunar landing. Game is actually freeware now, http://www.strategyinformer.com/pc/area51/full-game/26957.html
I'm interested, downloading now.
Is this the same one from like the late 90's or early 00's that are in arcades? If so, I'm sold.
I got this game to PS2 many years ago. Good game.

Oh my god I played this a long time ago, thank you so much for bringing it back! :allears: [editline].[/editline] Nevermind my PC has almost no room and the game is 1.9 gigs. :frown:
I went and got it off the website offering it as freeware just to find out that the game can only be played in the states... Well, I still have my PS2 copy of it. It was a different site that you have up there though so I may get it off that link if it downloads fast.

I remember playing this a year ago.
I remember playing the demo to this game and thinking how pretty the graphics looked on my XBox a few years back.
