The year is 1939, Germany has just begun preparations for war against Poland and the rest of Europe. This is the darkest hour of Europe.
Unlike most games you will not take control of a nation. Instead you'll take the role of a general in one of the major nations involved in the war. Throughout the war you will control a single army, ranging from the American Fighting First, to the German Sixth Army, to the Soviet 7th Army. You will strategize with other generals of your alliance, or if you're in the Soviet Union/Japanese Military, your fellow generals of your nation, to win key battles in the war. During the battles I will provide an in depth map of the region with available units to your army at the time. You will be tasked with placing them. The end result of your battles will shape the war for your nation and for the rest of the world.
Based on your army's success or failure I will choose if the general you choose advances to be the overall commander of the theater he is in or if he will be the lowest ranking general in the nation.
Available nations to choose from:
-England
-France
-United States (when they enter the war, the beginning of the war will advance by season until intense action begins at which time the scale that time passes in will slow)
-Germany
-Italy
-Soviet Union (again, when they enter the war)
-Imperial Japan
-Canada (Limited)
You choose the army and give a basic background (their strength and the theater that are in).
Due to my lack of ability to make any maps I'm going to be using two other maps for the time being unless somebody wishes to make the first map for me.
EUROPEAN THEATER

PACIFIC THEATER

The turn layout will be as such:
-Military Maneuvers
-HQ requests (new supplies, replacements, etc...)
-International Communications (Communications with other nations/generals in your alliance)
-Misc...
If you have suggestions please PM me, this is a new idea for a forum game, I'd like to make it as best I can.
You need a better Europe map for sure.
Well, time to exterminate the Jews.
You need a better Europe map for sure.
Hell yes I do.
I can't find any and I can't make a good one due to my lack of knowledge of the regions.
I want to be a general from the Vatican!
I want to be a general from the Vatican!
Probably won't be happening since the Vatican wasn't really involved. :v:

Once you darken the colors it's okay.
Can we use a real general?

It's not accurate. This is starting at the very beginning of WWII. I need a map from that time.
Can we use a real general?
Yep. As long as they aren't Eisenhower or some shit like that. They have to control a single army, not the entire theater.
General Paulus would be a good example.
And, Wasn't Canada in WW2?
And, Wasn't Canada in WW2?
Not as majorly as the others, but yes.
I'll add them as available, but only in a limited role.

What colors would you like?

Er, Do we send in a turn right of the bat
What colors would you like?
Did he lead an army during the war?
Can Germany win the war?
Can Germany win the war?
Yeah, this entire war rests on the shoulders of the players.
I call Germany.
No Liem, this is a strict RP game. You MUST pick actions that destroy the German army, even if you are winning or doing something productive
I call Germany.
You can't call Germany, you have to choose a single general of a single army.
Example: German Sixth Army, led by General Paulus.
My version of him doesn't control an army, He is a WW1 vet though

Oh, please ignore my message then
Ugh, I can't find a good editable map on Google Images that doesn't have JPNG rape.
