Basically I've tried getting in to GMOD RP again but to my despair all the servers are admined by 12-year olds who used their parents' credit card to buy Admin - and then enforcing that power upon anybody who dare question their authority.

I was wondering if I started Facepunch Cereal again if any of the people who used to play it, or any new people, would actually play it this time. The main problems with the last server was the excessive downtime due to me and lockdown having no idea how to actually run a server, and also the fact that the map changed every 2 nanoseconds. This time there would be a single map which would be the right size for the amount of people who actually played.

If this gets enough interest I'll start it up again and the server will probably be running by like this time next week or before.

Hey thanks for the offer bro, but I was able to get a server with Nitrous for an absolute steal. Just makes stuff easier to go through an official host in terms of longevity.

If anybody hadn't just gathered from this post, I just bit the bullet and got the server. Its 32 slots and should be very reliable. I will set up the server in the coming days so that it is properly configured (unlike last time) which should mean that there aren't any mid-day downtimes.

Not going to make any promises about timescale this time to avoid disappointment, but expect days at most.

Most of the actual server stuff is set up now, including adding maps, admin utilities etc.

Just need to work on shipments, jobs and shit now.

I'd say tuesday, wednesday tops.

Also there's the matter of the map, the server failed hard last time because the map changed practically every day, so we're going to get one map and stick with it. The most popular, and most suitable, seem to be C18 and Downtown - so vote now as this will likely be your only chance to have a say in what the map is.

Agree = C18
Disagree = Downtown
