Welcome to the thread about Empowered Prodigies Trouble in Terrorist Town. In this thread I will discuss all the different things that my server has, whether it is worth your time or not is up for you to decide!
[B]HUD:[/B]
First off is our HUD. It is the only HUD of its kind out there and the idea was created by someone within the community.

The bottom left corresponds with your current player model and is animated to be breathing and moving around a bit. The portrait background color will change based on role (Detective, Traitor, Innocent) as well the role text. Next is the health bar. As you lose health your status will change the text with custom made statuses by the same person who came up with the HUD! In the middle is the clock that works like any haste mode clock, flashing red for traitors with total time. Finally on the bottom right is your ammo and weapon. As you change weapons the name will change as will the amount of ammo. We hope to soon have your clip1 drain the ammo circle as you use it up, thus giving a better idea of how much ammo you have. [b]Coming Soon:[/b] Ability to choose between this HUD and a minimal HUD.
[B]Pets:[/B]
Another thing that we have are pets! These are purely cosmetic and don't affect gameplay in the slightest but are a joy to have around!

Some pets we have are Zombie, Headcrab, Pigeon, Crow, TARDIS, Scanner and more! They will, based on the pet, either sit on your shoulder and mess around or float in place and play sounds. They are small enough that they will cause no issues when aiming at a player and the sounds are quiet so you have to be within a certain range to hear them.

The video clip is showing off the crow pet. No audio since server gameplay was going on. It was brightened slightly to be seen better.
[B]Weapon Skins:[/b]
Next off are weapon skins! Buyable within our shop these items will only change the cosmetics of the weapons you pick up every round. They do no extra damage or have special traits such as more ammo. They simply just change the weapon when picked up.

This is the Fire Deagle. Available to anyone, it is the most common skin.

This would be the Junkyard M16, scavenged right from a pile of trash.
[B]Chat Tags:[/B]
These are tags that I am able to give to a group or specific player that when they type, this tag will appear before their name. Very simple but allows staff to be spotted.

[B]Custom Pointshop:[/B]
The pointshop Empowered Prodigies hosts is not the typical pointshop. Having taken our Gmod 12 pointshop and had it fixed up for Gmod 13, we added in some features of our own, such as droppable coins, gambling and a different preview menu. It is SQL integrated so any future servers hosting our pointshop will carry the information.

This is our preview menu. When you choose the option (between buy and preview) then it will pop open a new layer with your player and everything equipped at that moment.

And this is your inventory tab. This collects all the items you have and stores them here for your ease of equipping, previewing or selling.
[B]Votemap System:[/B]
Our votemap system allows the rating of maps you've played on and arranges 6 random maps (excluding the last three you've just played on) to be voted on. If images are provided, they will automatically download for a user and then will be displayed.

[B]Spectre:[/B]
A custom addon to our pointshop that is unique to our server, when equipped this will allow the player to walk around as if alive (when killed) but in reality is still dead. This hosts a variety of different abilities such as third person, making tiny snow particles appear, playing quiet wind sounds at the players location and finally one that is on a super long cooldown, a short scream. The spectre can see other spectres just as spectators and dead players are able to, same goes for alive players pre and post round. Pressing F while dead will allow the player to have a better vision, allowing for sight. I have collected a small video showing off the features but with no sound, just some background music.

[b]Headshots and kills:[/B]
On /EmP\ we have kill streaks as well as special things that will happen upon headshots. For example, when you headshot someone with a deagle, it will not only play a "Boom Headshot" sound file but also blow the other players head off. I compiled a quick video to outline this.

As you can see a headshot will play the sound and knock the players head off. Burning the body will also remove the head and the head is clientside, so it may not be moved. Killstreaks occur when you get 3, 5 or 7 kills. When this happens, other traitors will see your name on the screen and what you have gotten "Nookyava has gotten a triple kill!" "Nookyava has gotten a monster kill!" On the 7th tier, those dead will see this as well - "Nookyava is godlike!"
[B]Spray Detection:[/B]
We have an addon on our server that allows players, when looking at a spray, to see who sprayed it as well as their SteamID. This helps maintain our no porn spray rule and may help you find out who sprayed that funny spray you like.

[b]Custom Weapons:[/B]
Finally is our vast collection of amazing weapons that we have slowly created and collected over the months. Each is meant to add a new element into gameplay without breaking the actual style of TTT itself. The weapons add a new factor of fun into each round and provide new tools to slaughter, or defend, the innocents.

The B.L.A.S.T (or Barrel Launch And Scorch Technology for long) is a huge RPG styled explosive barrel launcher. It is able to be charged and fire ignited (left click or unignited (right click) barrels from a long distance but needs to be charged to do so. When fired, based on charge time, it will play a sound that allows those who know what it sounds like to know it was fired.
I will be adding a new video going over each of the weapons in time, but I need to make sure everything is in place before I go and do such.

Please note that the content you see listed here is not all of what we have. We have more weapon skins than the Fire Deagle or Junkyard M16, the same goes for T and D weapons. This server actually looks pretty decent
[B]1/31/13 UPDATE:[/B]
New Shop Item Added - Spectre. This allows you upon death to walk around as if you were alive still.
- Alive players cannot see you but other Spectres and spectators can.
- Third Person is enabled for those in Spectre Mode.
- As a Spectre, you are able to spawn two-five snow particles at your location.
- You are also able to play some quiet wind sounds, which don't prioritize over any other sounds.
- You are able to fly around and hold shift to float.
- Spectres are able to possess props like normal and get out of the prop, on top of that they are naturally no-collided with doors, props and players.
- Spectres have a unique vision to them upon death.
New Shop Item Added - Junkyard M16
- This item when bought will replace the standard m16s you pick up with a "Junk" version of it.
- It does no additional damage or effects but is a cosmetic item.

[B]2/4/13 Update:[/B]
- Added some new models in the shop.
- Having a new system underway in order to give players something to strive for.
- Jukebox is being worked on.

- Fixed the Mac10 glitch with reload animations by replacing it entirely with a new Mac10.
- New End Round Songs are being added as I post this.
- The new System is still underway to give players a sense of accomplishment as they play.
The server looks pretty good, although that's the worst HUD I've seen in ages.
I had the HUD made in order to have a cleaner feel to the server. At the bottom left, having a huge gray thing blocking the view I felt was a pain in the ass. So by having the cleaner HUD it led to a lot more sight capabilities.
To be honest I don't see why you'd have different player models and hats on a TTT server, the gamemode kinda depends on everybody looking identical.
When almost 1/6th of the server has the same model, it gets difficult to call them out.
You do realize that is the point of TTT? To call someone out by name , and not by what player model they have.
[B]2/7/13 Update:[/B]
New Achievement System Added
- When you earn achievements, just like any other valve one a little window bottom right will appear, telling you what you've earned just like any other achievement.
- Some achievements are hidden and can be viewed only by unlocking them.
- Some achievements will offer items within the shop.
- There are some map specific achievements as well as milestones, making earning them a tad harder.
- Announcing who has achieved an achievement will not occur until the end of the round, thus not giving any vital information away.

-Updated Rule #6 to "If you sound under 16, we reserve the right to gag you at our discretion" from the set in stone "If you sound under 16, we will gag you."
This means those under 16 can speak within reason.

Is the votemap system custom or 3rd party?

- Achievement earned sounds are now played client-side so no one is able to tell who got an achievement at the time, prevents an accidental "finding" of a killing.

For real, custom player models is a stupid idea for TTT. Custom gun skins, whatever, but player models are entirely too ruinous for gameplay. You can point out the model instead of knowing who exactly did it by name, by being close enough to them to have seen their name while they did something or while examining a body. Everything else looks fairly standard.

I don't believe that the player models are too huge an issue because unless you take the time to go and memorize every players load outs (which change consistently), and many use the same exact model/hat stuff as well. So I mean to each his own and I hope you find a good TTT server but I feel that it isn't a huge issue.

Honestly, I really like the whole custom weapon skins thing. It allows player to have the game the way they want it, and adds more to work forward in the game, and as it's all client side, it doesn't really effect the gameplay in any way.

We now are able to edit any map to add props to decorate or block off exploitable areas. This adds a whole level customization without having to force a whole new map download on players.

Normally the inside of the van is empty but I decided to give it the title of our community's moving van and make it look as if items were being moved. Requires no download time for the map and if you were to play the map regularly with any other server, it will load the default version.

We now have the ability to see who sprayed a spray. By looking at it you will see the name of who sprayed it as well as SteamID. This will help with our "No porn spray" rule.

We also added a new traitor weapon. It allows the traitor once using it to go invisible for 10 seconds (not allowed to get out of it) They are also disarmed during this time and after the ten seconds weapons will not return until 2 seconds after it ended. This will give another escape tool to traitors without breaking the game since you can still see their voice chat and they are not no-collided.

- Hired some new trial mods (3 to be exact) to keep things moderated more.
- Fixing some issues with weapons sometimes glitching out with the hands (bones would go crazy)
- Also fixing issues with Spectre not going 100% transparent on some people.
