So, what is this? Cliff's notes version: Me and a friend of mine (Worldwaker) are planning a large-scale global geopolitical strategic military game using this map, for Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance patched to v3599.

Now, we need people for this. AI simply won't work for the game we're planning, The format of the game will be that each player takes on the role of a nation on the global scale. Players will build up their infrastructure, coordinate their forces, do diplomacy with other nations and make war in a conflict that will span the globe.
The map is set up in a way that encourages expansion. Each player is placed near a large patch of Mass deposits. That serves as their set-up. Mass is gold in this, and mass fabrication is disabled which serves as the motivation for nations to war for resources. Now, there are several mods you will be needing if you want to participate, as we will be playing a modded game.

Wow, this sounds fun, although my computer can't handle big SupCom maps.
Will people be able to team up?
I hate to say it, but I suck at multiplayer RTS. I usually get rushed or steamrolled while I'm building up.
It would be easier if I had a couple of allies to help me out while I get up to speed.
I so wish I had my computer working right now...
Isn't the latest patch v3599? (not counting the 3603 beta) Anyway, i'd gladly play a game, but i'll have to try out all those mods first so i have a basic idea of what's going on. It'd be great if we could play a game sometime during the weekend, that's when i have the most free time. I'm not very good at this game (1582 rating after 15 ranked games), but i'd love to play a game like this once, the mods sound interesting too.

That last match was interesting. Smoot sent a diplomatic envoy to my island nation. I had my forces hold fire and showed off my military prowess.

Alright, most of them are scd files which I'm putting in the gamedata folder, but there are a couple that are just groups of files. Where should I put those?

It's really hard to play at 2 AM in the morning. Perhaps you should consider moving the games to the evenings instead.

How do you go about installing the mods exactly. When I go to the folder you specified in the OP, there isn't a mods folder there. I'm guessing I need to create one, but is it called 'mods' or 'mod' or what?
