Facepunch Inaugural 580Km Endurance of Suzuka (Gran Turismo 5) - Games

The details are as follows: [B][U]Date:[/U][/B] As of right now, next weekend is probably when this will be held. Either Saturday, October 15th or Sunday, October 16th. It will be a long race so make sure you have time set aside. [B][U]Track:[/U][/B] Suzuka Circuit (Full, Weather Change) [B][U]Laps:[/U][/B] 100 (~580km) [B][U]Assists/Upgrades:[/U][/B] No assists allowed with the exception of ABS. TCS (traction control), ASM (stability management), Active Steering, Driving Line, and Skid Recovery Force will all be forced off. The Grip Reduction on Wet Track/Track Edge will be high and Mechanical Damage will be Heavy. As for upgrades to the cars (which are listed below), there can be none. All cars must be bought new from the dealership or if bought from the UCD, may only have the Engine Overhaul and Chassis Maintenance. Oil changes are not to be performed. This is to ensure that certain players do not have cars which are broken in and that everyone gets a fair shake, given that this is a class (GT500) race. Custom setups are not only allowed, but encouraged. Tune your car to the best it can for the track at hand. Tires are restricted to racing compounds. [B][U]Cars Allowed:[/U][/B] This is a class race to simulate the real life JGTC/SuperGT GT500 class that runs Suzuka. The cars are all ~500 HP and each has advantages and disadvantages. I'd love to do this, I really need to pick up GT5. Shame all I could do was all assists off with brake line on Forza 3. It's really satisfying finishing a 250 mile race 5 laps ahead of the competition though.

I wish I had a PS3 and GT5. I'd totally join.

100 laps is absurd, not even fun really. Otherwise i might have joined.

It's called an endurance race for a reason. The real race is 1000km, just be glad we don't do that.

Sign me up, I haven't played GT5 in about 10 months but I shall practice before hand but I will probably be terrible.

And when you think about it, people sit down playing games for more than 4 hours all the time, how is this any different?
