Introduction
The Freeman Gaming community started up in early 2013. Started up around March 13, 2013. It started all because the owner was loathing for more out of a server gamemode that he was obsessed with. That gamemode was on the game “Garrysmod”. The gamemodes name was Half-Life 2 Roleplay.
SECTION 1:Half-Life 2 Roleplay
Topic #001: Plaza Presentation.
Plaza presentation is a major key to a servers appeal to players. In HL2:RP the entire map is an RP environment, but in my opinion, the plaza is where the most passive, aggressive, casual, and way more types or RP occur. When citizens want to passive RP, the environment and the surrounding area is most likely the first thing they will notice and build off of. For example, if they see a bench, they might walk over to the bench and perform sitting on it, then more RP elements can occur, with different scenarios, such as humming, tapping their foot, or even singing loudly. Singing loudly can get you arrested, but hey, it’s RP. There are so very many aspects that can apply, so in my opinion, the plaza needs benches, trashcans, and other items. A phone booth would be a great example. Such as someone walking up to it and attempting to dial into it and see if it works, then they get upset when it doesn’t work. In my opinion, the plaza is very blank and needs to be added to.
Topic #002: Organized server IC schedule.
Timing is everything, so they say. Therefore it can be used in HL2:RP greatly. Many servers are disorganized when it comes to events, IC apps, and CWU shop business times. If we have a pre-determined time for events such as the stated events above, then when people ask when they are, they can see for themselves. It clears up a lot of questions, and it is very IC. I will not tell you when certain events will be held. So I will let you decide that.
Here is the current Schedule for IC activities:
*Metro Police Force Applications – 8:30 AM, 8:30 PM.
*CWU Applications – 24/7 (Always available on paper in game).
*Rations – 9:30 AM, 12:30 PM, 7:30 PM.
*CWU Business Hours – 1:30 PM, 5:30 PM.
*Curfew – 9:00 PM-7:30 AM.
*Slave Street Cleaning – 6:00PM-6:10PM.
Topic #003: Staff efficiency.
Over my time of owning a server, efficiency is everything. So I decided to have four members in my staff, each member of staff was in charge of a different department of the server. They worked religiously on their department, so that the server could run smoother. There are four different departments: Metro Police Force Management, Resistance and Refugee Management, Civilian Management, and minge, failRP, and server bug Management. This turned out to be very efficient, It made it so the work was balanced out instead of whoever is available carrying the weight of all four. I like to see a server as a business, in order for it to work, everyone has to do their tasks and their part. This is suggested for HL2:RP servers. So Admins, Consider this.
Topic #004: Staying on canon.
Many servers lose their quality due to the fact that it loses a grip on the Half-Life 2 Canon. The MPF is an example. For example the MPF ranking system is off on most servers, the canon Ranking system is as follows:

Topic #005: Combine Hardpoints.
Combine hardpoints are a huge part of civilian and combine RP. How they look, and how effective they work are key parts of the RP they bring. I Wish to help and create your hardpoints for you, I am a very experienced map builder with HL2:RP.
Topic #006 Roleplay Environment
The roleplay environment is a huge part of why our server is top quality. We like to do more IC than OOC. Our server is very balanced when it comes to the ratios of factions. We have a balanced amount of citizen RP along with MPF and Resistance RP. We think that most servers are one sided. Which being one-sided is unacceptable.

Forgot to edit that part. I agree that the content pack is very large. We were planning to narrow it down a bit.

Yeah, after awhile we used something different, a paid one. Then we stopped funding it due to a break of hosting. So we will host the same paid one soon.

The custom plugins are coming from a plugin creator named jamestaa. He is our personal coder.

Yes, yes, and That could be implicated. Joking.
Plugins such as:
UU Scientist Whitelist.
Multi-Paged Books.
And he is currently working on More emotes for the server for civilians.
It isnt much, It is our third day up after all

My current suggestions are remove any prop downloads and keep Enhanced Citizens v2/Redux that is a pretty good idea.
As for the rest most of it seems rather useless and just for people who have special whitelists.
I'm pretty sure you don't need to add the tool add-ons in the content file just place them into the Addons in the control panel files and place in the FastDL (I think)

Yes, because a lot of servers don't take things serious enough. They just do it for donations and shit and don't actually do anything custom, and expect people to stick around when they post their server on a bunch of forums.

will you stop using the 'custom' argument because its really difficult to find a 100% custom server if that even exists

There is no canonical ranking system for Civil Protection. It's assumed that they're all equal ranks, and usually refer to eachother with taglines, and follow who have more experience actively.

Either way, please add some more screenshots/content videos to your OP. I'm sure a lot of people would like to see what makes you unique, and perhaps see how large your playerbase really is.

Haha my bad, that was an old introduction. I edited out the unimportant info. Pictures are coming shortly.
Updated. New website, new hoster, and we are now on the official canon(or canon that was used with the first servers)
I went on the server, some guy got kicked for "bypassing a char ban" (/charban wasn't working i guess) and the server hoster was really content with his opinion on this even being possible and he ended up muting me globally ooc... even though I was pming him.
