Maelstrom DarkRP | Sleek Weapon Base | Semi-Vanilla - Games

If you are looking for a server that does not feel bloated yet still has new content, try joining the Maelstrom DarkRP server that I currently own. It is hosted in Dallas, TX. It uses the Sleek Weapon Base which is essentially just CSS weapons with better animations and a few extra functions. The jobs are pretty minimal, feels rather semi-vanilla. Also we do not use workshop add-ons so you do not have to mount them every time you join. I think you might enjoy it. It is incredibly new, so players may be a tad lacking, that is why I am advertising! The first day we capped out at 30 players. Second day we capped at 23 players. The map is rp_avenue_beta02. rp_avenue_beta02 is StateofRoleplay's map, you dont have permission to run it unless the creator of the map said so. you cant just rip maps and put them on your server...

No copyright information etc. etc. There is no intellectual property of the map stating that we cannot use this map on our server that is prominently evident. If the map maker did not want us to use it he would have branded the map for the community ensuring the origin was known. All legal issues aside there really is nothing stating we cannot use this map.

He's right, no one is retardedly enough concerned with gmod to file any sort of copyrights either. Regardless of that this server is no different from others of the same type and you can't really call this an advertisement, it has no graphics, no pictures, and nothing that would make anyone want to join.

This server sucks, the owner is too lazy to add new custom guns, claiming that he wants to keep the servers download size small, while having unnecessary addons such as Ammo Vendor, Wyozi Media Center, Grappling Hook, ETC. The admins are abusive, one gave me a warning for RDM even though I was helping a friend escape the police that were shooting at him, the admin said that the music I picked while playing as DJ was "shitty" while others seemed to like it, and he called me an "imbecile" (his exact words). This server has many unnecessary and stupid rules, i.e. The sound coming from money printers are OOC. I was killed by a new player who broke NLR after I raided his base, and after the admin explained to him NLR and stuff, he allowed the player to lock his base, [B]during an admin sit[/B], and put me outside, and didn't give me the m4a1 I had when he killed me back, and the worst part is, the admin let the players continue to break NLR, and stay in their house. Oh, and one of the rules is that Hobo's can build, but they can't build houses. This server is not a very good one, I rate 4/10, and I don't recommend joining.

Baseball bats for gangsters, VCMod for vehicles among other things. These "unnecessary" addons add a sense of roleplay in which you have to visit a vendor to receive ammo rather than magically creating it. It is supposed to be a semi-vanilla feel. A player calling your music "shitty" is not means to dislike an entire server, at least in my eyes. Hobos can build houses, I don't know exactly what you are talking about, they just can't OWN houses as in doors, etc. If you'd like to speak with me about anything else, feel free to let me know. I remember you being on the server and talking to me for a while. You didn't seem to dislike the server that much.

It was a good "server" but the community seemed to really be trying to piss me off at every move. You are the only admin I found that was doing a good job on the server, and you seemed like you really cared about it. It's a good server by the means of the jobs, weapons, items, etc. but when I played most of the people got really pissed at me for doing my job (cop) and arresting them when they did something illegal, and then they just came back from jail and shot me if they had a gun. I got RDMed several times by several people for arresting them. Some cops even shot me even though I was the Chief.

I apologize if the community was harsh towards you. I had careful watch over the growth of the Trouble in Terrorist Town community and it seemed rather nice and inviting. The DarkRP community however rapidly grew and I did not have time to get to know all the players. I really intend to create a nice community, it is simply hard to do. Apologies.
