• Dawn of an Era: A "make-your-own" civilisation RP

Hey folks. I've decided to try my hand at GMing an RP, so here I am. For those familiar with previous RP's, it'll be similar to Ascent of Man and Creation of Centuries. If you are a newbie to this stuff then feel free to ask me anything related to RPing. [t]http://i.imgur.com/CGwHFNS.png[/t] Please pick 2 provinces in which to start. One will be your capital. These two provinces must be adjacent to each other, although later if you join and boats are commonplace, I may allow provinces to be divided by a strait or something. It begins around 4000 BC, or in this scenario, 0 SD (Since Dawn). Humanity has spread itself throughout the earth, and has an established presence basically everywhere, but it's all small tribes and collections of hunters and gatherers; nothing concrete. But on this year, it changed. Tribes united and formed towns and even the first cities. They organised, adapted, and settled. Nobody is quite sure as to why it began on this particular year, but it began nonetheless, and so the great march of history took its first step into a new era. So, general rules: 1. Send in a PM to EuSKalduna, with the following title: "Countryname: Turn X" 2. DON'T write turn sheets that are too long. It may be tempting, but unless I can copy-paste it in, turns take longer. 3. DO write up to 10 lines (of commands) in your turn. 4. The PM you send to me will take the following form for the first turn:
Starting location: (You will mark down on the map where you wish to start) Flag: (image is 250x150 pixels) Country name: Capital City: Culture: State religion: You must also send in your commands: Technology: (You give me 3 technologies or ideas to research, and one of them will be randomly selected to be researched) Military: Everything involving your military goes here. Also includes expansion on the map via force. Domestic affairs: Everything inside of your countries borders. Relates to economy and politics. External affairs: Everything outside of your countries borders. Relates to diplomacy and foreigners and espionage Includes expansion on the map via peaceful methods.
This about sums it up. There are 8 players I am willing to accommodate in the beginning, with one slot being already taken, so that leaves 7 more. Call dibs in the thread first. If I get any turns in from people who didn't do so they will be ignored and discarded. First turn will be marked turn 1, so get going people. Have fun!

I will be Lignje, a fucked-up crazy tribe along the Oder.
I'll be Siam.

I'll take Aachen if there's room. Bonus points if you can guess where I'm going with this. (my geography isn't what it once was but I think that's where Aachen is)

Also, Celtic Carolingians?
I can only imagine, Charlemagne
At first I thought I'd be Germany but I thought it would be much more fun if I played the long game and united Germany myself. Immediate goals are Middle Francia to start off with.
You were too late logan. RIP
We posted at the same time :/ [editline]3rd August 2015[/editline] Ugh this is bullshit. Damn me trying to make a map of my claim :(
I said RIP now stay down goddammit (sorry pal, maybe later)
I said RIP now stay down goddammit (sorry pal, maybe later)
I never tried to convince you to let me in lol [editline]3rd August 2015[/editline] It's cool though, I guess. I just kinda think it's unfair because we posted right at the same time.
I may or may not play in Thrace.
Just as I figured out what my Thracian culture will be (it would have been something made up, as I literally couldn't find info on Neolithic East Thrace), the slots are filled. Oh well.
Turn sent

I have decided to be magnanimous and allow Logan to participate. Rejoice, peasants
Shoutout to EuSKalduna for letting me join the RP
Alright, since I'm doing the map, give me your territorial expansion (GM should give you the amount of provinces you can expand) and I'll incorporate it into the Turn 1 map. If you don't feel comfortable doing that, then give it to the GM. Giving the expansion directly to me will probably speed things up a bit, though.
