The End of the Wall: A Post Cold War game starting in 1989 - Games

I'm back! I'll be running a country RP game starting in the year 1989. If you're new to this type of game, welcome! Feel free to ask me or any players how this game is played. If you're a seasoned veteran then you know the drill. Each turn will last 6 months. Another thing to note. There will be a degree of randomness to this game. I'll be using dice to help decide events. They'll be weighted based on my perception of the likelihood of policies working but there will still be that degree of risk. Additionally there will be the chance for random natural disasters and NPC events due to dice. This should add much more depth to the game. Interesting Situations: - Russian devolution, what lands will they be able to maintain and will they be able to keep stability? - German unification, will Germany become a powerful state or will they flounder? - The Lone Superpower, the United States is alone at the top, how will they manage this role? - Chinese growth, can they rise up to match the United States? - The Middle East, can the western nations handle the region or will it fall into total chaos? - The Drug War, can Mexico survive? I'd like to play as the new Ukraine but it's technically not independent yet, so Ukrainian SSR? Also, how long are the turns, 6 months, a year? Also just joined the RP group

You'll have fun. Ukrainian SSR is an option, you'll have to run everything by Russia for the first few turns however.

Should I join in? i haven't done one in a long time rip, wanted poland, didn't see the post. Well, then, let me figure this out if I do join. if I choose Yugoslavia, do I pick who I get, since well, them breaking apart is sort of hard to stop in 1989.
