Well, luck was involved in in the Saxxy Awards too.

Many people probably only voted 5-10 times for each category, so if you were unlucky, then maybe not many got your video up at any one point, which means no vote.

Of course having a good video is what gives you votes in the end, but, it's very possible there was videos, maybe some better than some of the other finalists, which didn't make it in simply because not enough bumped into them during the choosing phase.

My own video only got 60 views from the entire choosing phase, which sort of implies it didn't really appear for many.
