Ok, So an update is still to come for the Engineer and I as thinking of weapons while playing him earlier today and I thought what if they added the Engineer able to build gates/walls to block enemy team off? Of course it is destructible, or he could build mini bridges from one place to another? They cant really add powerful weapons to him because he more of a defence character. Or maybe they can add a mini bubbled you can put in and area but from the outside its cloaked, much like the spy but when you go inside you become cloaked from anyone outside the bubble. One last idea, this is a bit silly but maybe a flying mini sentry? Or camera of some sort so you can spy on the enemy?
Please post what you think or any ideas you got?
Sounds are bit far-fetched to me. I'd be happy with remote control sentries....

I can see a camera being used like teleporters.
Screen + camera.
Perhaps instead of doors and gates, how about a slow feild. Enemies are made %25 slower in the feild. Bad side is it replaices your sentry. You get assist kills for ever person killed while under the feilds effects.
My idea for a sentry replacement is the knockback gun. It's a weaker senrty with lots of knockback on it's target. Desinged to keep an enemy out of an area.

The sentry has alot of knockback to people in the air. This make ground kncokback and air knockback much stronger.
How about a medisentry which can overheal to 10%,20% and 30% and at a certain time will deploy a 6 second uber to all the engineer's buildings within a certain radius?
Replace teleporters with hurt pads which cause a certain amount of damage or a jump pad?
And a dispenser which would buff damage done by weapons.
I always thought of an upgradable forcefield that when the blueprint is out, it adjusts to the area you're trying to block off. The power source is on the other side, so you would have to go around, or damage the forcefield enough so that it goes down while it recharges. People on the power source side could shoot through it though.
All this at the expense of the teleporter ofcourse.

As you see, people and sentries can shoot through one side, but shots will be blocked from the other. People would not be able to move through the blocked side too.
There would be three levels, each one adding another shield layer and making the recharge rate faster, but not the actual strength of the shield better, kind of how teleporter upgrading works.
Engies will then have a good vantage point to repair the power source, should it get damaged, but the actual power source itself is quite weak. A few shots from the other side could completely destroy the shield, as taking the shield down does not destroy the power source, wich will now recharge the first layer shield and then the other two at lvl3.

Well i did think that instead of a dispenser you could have a minicrit feild. Small range but anyone near it glows their teams colour and has constant minicrts.

Doing so would trap yourself, and I believe you would not be able to repair the forcefield and the sentry at the same time.
Also, cloaked spies would be able to pass through the shield as a counter against such cases.
Well. It could be done. But iy would help alot of griefers out there.
Otherwise it's better than most of the suggestions out there
