• TF2 stuttering.

The game stutters all of the sudden. Happens every 5 minutes of so. The game runs fine and pretty smooth til it freezes for a second then starts again, often at the most inconvenient times. Computer is Intel Core 2 Quad CPU, 2.33GHz 64-bit. Bear in mind that I don't want the quality of my graphics to suffer much for performance. (If that's the problem.) Also, all ports are opened, I've defragged and verified.
Temps? Also nice Download.
Temps? What's that?
You expect that configuration to work well with your HD 4350? Quite optimistic.
Temps? What's that?
Temperature. You graphics card could be overheating. http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html
This has been happening to a lot of people since the engie update. You might have to wait for Valve to fix it, if its fixable.
You expect that configuration to work well with your HD 4350? Quite optimistic.
Might wanna elaborate on that.
I'm still having this problem...
Might wanna elaborate on that.
Well it's quite simple: that's a low-end video card, pal. You should downgrade your video options and remove that fancy autoexec
try snd_rebuildaudiocahce in console(when not on server, it takes some time), it helps me when game suddenly start shuttering.
Im having the exact same problem!
Well it's quite simple: that's a low-end video card, pal. I recently set my computer back to factory setting, and it was running fine before without stuttering with this exact autoexec.
try snd_rebuildaudiocahce in console(when not on server, it takes some time), it helps me when game suddenly start shuttering.
I'll try this, thanks. Didn't work either.
Do you have antivirus? It could be that it's running while you're playing. On another note, why the hell are you using trilinear filtering? Anisotropy costs almost no performance and makes a huge difference even at 2x.
Happens to me too. And my fps has been really low lately, dropping from stable ~80fps to 20-40 fps.
I had the same where it would always show "120 fps" but it would turn yellow/red as in "below 60/30" every 1-2 seconds for a split second. I think it had something to do with my computer temps (°C) because placing it in a better position fixed it.
