I know a lot of us would agree that joining a server listed as having 12 people, only to find it's empty is annoying. I think we can also feel for how irritable Quake sounds can be, or how stupid donating for extra perks are. If those aren't bad enough, how about all those sv_pure 1 servers that render your Mod Emporium hats useless?
Well that's why I decided to make my own vanilla servers for everyone to enjoy. I also use sv_pure 0. [highlight]These servers are Chicago-based[/highlight].
My first is a [highlight]24 slot[/highlight], Valve stock maps server, located at [highlight]75.102.38.146:27015[/highlight]

Please, for God's sake make the Valve Rotation server 24 slots. 32 is a clusterfuck.
I was considering doing that after the first month anyway just because a 32 slot server is kind of costly on my part. :sigh:

Seriously. There are way too many 32-slot servers to begin with... I can't find a nice 24-slot server for the life of me (except one, but it's rarely played).

I added both servers to my favorites. By the way, the IP for the stock server (in red) is wrong; "104" should be "146". :v:

I'm in Britain, so mid-grounds between the two I suppose, if I see a population, I may see if the server is good.

And? I'm not whoring out this post to 12 different forums. I've only posted it here, and that's how it's going to stay. I'm also actively listening to the advice here to try and adjust them to the wants of the playerbase for a better play experience. They're new servers, and they don't have many players just yet, but I want to make them fun, so the best way to do that is to make them known to some players then listen to the criticism.

yeah theres reallya fuzzy line between what youre doing here and advertising i mean the server doesnt have fp anywhere in the title and what the hell is odp

ODP is just sort of a joke a friend and I made for our original GMod server. Stands for Ouroboratikal Donovanical Pandemonium. (I use the name Ouroboratika, he use's Donovan, and I threw in pandemonium for the hell of it.)
I don't see whats the problem with 32 player servers. With the right kind of people it can be really fun. Like having an engie party in the intel building a disco floor out of teleporters.
