Anyone else's connection in TF2 drop for a few seconds every now and then in gameplay?

For at least a few years every now and then in game things will just stop, I'll get the message "Lost connection to server, disconnecting in 30...", and about three seconds later it'll be re-established and I'll have probably been killed.

I thought it was my 6 year old WRT54G, but I recently got a Linksys E3000 and it still happens.

Its bound to happen, check your ping, make sure you arn't downloading anything, and check where the server is located.

Quit TF2, closed any spare processes, made 100% sure nothing was doing any kind of transfer in the background, joined a >50 ping server, and it happened after maybe five minutes.
