There's a few servers, not enough to piss the hell out of everyone, but once you realize what you just stumbled into, you either abuse the 'Trial' system and then leave, or you just leave.
Basically, the one I'm talking about is a 2fort server, and the most painful thing is that if you become a VIP via [b][u][i]paying[/b][/u][/i] for it, then you get all these shitty benefits that ruin the fun.
It could just any normal server, I know they don't HAVE to do it, but it's what they do to actually give people a taste of what it's like.
Basically, you join, and you say "/trial" or something like that, and it gives you [highlight]FIFTEEN[/highlight] minutes of never-ending bullets, faster speed, infinite cloak, 15 JARATES?!, just...fucking hell...there's about 4 or something more things with the trial as well, and apparently many more if you actually are a dumbass and pay for something that could be worthless.
Alot of people don't seem to be using it, SURPRISINGLY, or they have and just decided to stay on the server. But when other people are using it and you are using it/aren't using it, it's just retarded gameplay either way.
I know this is probably against the rules, but I was just throwing that out there, how although you can stand out of the crowd of over a thousand servers, that doesn't mean that your server is good because it's popular, it's just got something that will make the game's playerbase more entertained for a few minutes.
Has anyone actually run into these servers yet? The RTD servers are fine, they don't bug me, but these ones do, it's like getting God Mode for 2 minutes when you're a heavy. JUST DON'T STOP FIRING :v:
Sounds like saigns.de-servers. Just blacklist 'em and keep on looking for "normal" servers. The less mods the better in my personal experience, but it's a matter of taste of course.
There was bound to be a thread about the Pay2OP servers. Just ignore them and find something half decent, like GameArena, 3FL or game.on. 3FL has some sourcemods, but only on some servers and just at the start with 1 message.
They have been around for ages, I thought people learned to ignore them :sigh:
I do ignore them, it's just that when a certain friend or two wants me to play with them, I join them, and then it's too late :saddowns:
Even they hate the servers and they still play them (rarely)
They are crap servers, just don't play on them.
I used to play on saigns.de until I realized how much of a shithole that server was.

Yeah. saigns.de is crap. i even said that their benefits are OP, and the vip/admin/owner(cant remember) said: "cry more :downs:"(sorta) people agreed that it was OP.

saigns.de and nightteam.de (or is it .com?) blacklist all their servers.
1. Join Saigns.de
2. Type premium
3. Infinite stickylauncher ammo and no reload
4. +50 Hp per kill
5. Leave after 15 minutes
There's bots everywhere all over the place in Saigns, and they make you lag very bad. Anyone who can get 100 fps easily WILL drop to 20.
I fucking despise these servers. What makes them fun?

Roll the Dice is funny, and I've only found it on a Hoodoo 24/7 server so it sort of livens it up as well.

Depends on what kind of server it is.
If it's an idle or unserious server, then it's an okay addition.
If it's a server where people want to have fun by playing a fair game with their team against the enemy team, then it is a horrible addition.
I saw it on a Goldrush server while I was server-hopping. Every single roll I had either burnt or killed me.

Certain benefits are OK (see aprilon dynasty, i used to frequent it), but saigns are just.... yeah.
I like saigns.de because it's utterly mad.
Plus it has more health pickups which makes it better.
