TF2 has been crashing lately, usually about 5 minutes after I join a server. Now, I've restarted Steam and my computer, and validated TF2 files, and it still crashes. Does anyone know why I'm crashing for no reason?
Try turning your graphics lower or running in DX 8.1 Oh, and if you use AVG don't run it during play
AVG doesn't scan while playing, but it is running in the tray mode or whatever. I ended that process, and I'll see if that did anything. [editline]11:53AM[/editline] Nope, and deleting my tf folder didn't do anything either.
post specs, etc.
Maybe you can post your specs Edit: 150th Post :pcgaming:

Ending the AVG process doesn't do shit. You need to uninstall it then restart for all of it's bullshit processes to stop from interfering and wasting away your computer.

Is multicore rendering turned on?
No, multicore rendering is not on. When it was on, the game ran fine (except for the stupid mouse lag it creates). And do I use Speccy to get my specs, or is there something on my computer? [editline]01:41PM[/editline] Speccy = specs. Duh.
Sure, post a screenshot of it.
I hope that's what you wanted I have a laptop, so graphics aren't great. I'm hoping that my brother will move back out so I can have space for a real computer.
Temps under load? If that 51C is on idle, you might want to try dusting it.
I could think of some ways to fix the problem. Follow the defragment part. http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showpost.php?p=12431983&postcount=1 Check to see if there're any commands in your autoexec that could be causing the crashes. Put -autoconfig in launch options. Delete your "team fortress 2" folder and start the game to get a fresh copy.
