TF2 Disconnects me from steam, then after reconnecting, crashes.

Is there anyway I could fix this? Its getting quite annoying when all I wanna do is enjoy a nice game of Team Fortress 2, and it just disconnects takes 10 minutes to reconnect then crashes after 2 more minutes of game play.
