You know my favorite situation after killing someone in TF2 is? The times were their heads no longer connect with the rest of them. You know what would be really neat? If say I headshot some guy in the head and his face blows up. 'Cus after you see the another ragdoll slump lifelessly before you after catching them point blank it begins to dawn on you and you start reconsidering the path you chose that led you up to this point. Just sitting there, killing doods, who are also just sitting there, killing doods, that also happen to be sitting there, killing doods, etc. And that's why you need MORE VIOLENCE to distract you from your pathetic smelly self and get you on the Masculine train to Testosterone station! And to stop this from also getting old(which I doubt it), just have it happen when critically killed, much like the spy backstab animation. So what I basically want is this:
That's what explosions are for.
That's what explosions are for.
I'm not looking to gib the entire player I'm looking to gib only specific body parts
I'm not looking to gib the entire player I'm looking to gib only specific body parts
TF2 doesn't really seem like the game for body-part specific gibbing. Lets just leave that for L4D2.
I can't really say it wouldn't fit since there's a spy head endlessly exploding repeatedly in the OP.
That was designed specifically for the Meet the Spy, just like the ranged sapper, and also just like how in Meet the Engineer he has 3-4 sentries at once. If every class could have headshots, it would make the game a lot more unbalanced.
L4D did it with bodygroups so it should be perfectly possible in TF2. It shouldn't do more damage, that'd be stoopid.

I don't think it would fit into the artstyle of TF2.
Could work for the Sniper rifle and the Ambassador. Blowing up the head that is.
That's what sounds and captions are for.
Tf2 is gory but not that gory seeing someone's head pop off every time I headshot them would get old fast. I prefer seeing the ragdolls fly like crazy
^ 1 x Agree TF2 is fine the way it is.
Maybe if it was a rare occurrence like with the death animations, then sure!
Only if itts overkill... Like a full charge headshot to a guy with 10hp [editline]05:25AM[/editline] But wut about the ambadassdor [editline]06:00AM[/editline] I mean huntsman... If head blew up... No stuck arrow
Well heads don't really blow up by an arrow... unless you add a sticky to the tip. Not all weapons have to blow up body parts. What is this Fallout 3?
God, I would love if TF2 was way more violent, it adds so much more thrill to the game.
I personally want just individual gibs if you shoot them in the right place. (EG, shoot a guy in the head with double his remaining health [maybe?] His class' head gib flies away and the ragdoll has no head).
