I'm trying to realise if that's on purpose to demonstrate how stuff doesn't need to be fixed sometimes, or if it's just a mistake.

But either way, if the search happens to be broken and you are unsure if the topic you're about to post about has already been discussed, then [b]don't post it[/b]. Wait until search works again or just let somebody else post it. Usually around here if something new happens with TF2, four threads get posted within a minute of it happening, so chances are you're late either way.
