• Using the Server Browser is like fucking pulling teeth

I don't know when this started happening, a few months ago maybe, but I've had enough of it. I have diagnosed my Server Browser with :downs: First of all, it rarely works the way it's supposed to, sometimes i get the good 2000+ servers instantly, and i can go along with my day, but no, it only gets around 20=200 servers, it almost never shows favorites/history etc, hitting the maps tab to organize the servers by map just scrambles them, and, just now, It won't even allow me to join the few servers (not responding) So what the fuck do i do to remedy this? I have a perfect internet connection, this hasn't happened in Gmod, and my game runs fine.
Yeah it pisses me off too. I have to click join about 30 times and it says it's not responding, then suddenly it joins. I had to save favorites in the steam UI and then refresh inside TF2.

Well, unlike the OP, I have patience and a fast connection, and I don't have any of his issues. It all works fine for me.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that this is happening to. There's really nothing that can fix it (that I know of), so I usually have to end up joining servers through my friends list.

Just be sad that you will have to wait 2 minutes to get all the servers to refresh. Use filters religiously if you do this. But this WILL fix it. What is happening is that you are pinging way too many servers and it is causing it to clog your connection till it finishes.
I don't have any of these problems. My only issue, however, is the Friends Playing tab. I could have 3 friends playing, and 5 servers listed. Hell, I could have NO friends playing, and some servers listed.
The only problem I have is joining a friends game, it usually takes some time before it feels like doing it.
They need to stop including these promo items and make the game a bit more playable. I keep getting this and my game usually crashes on map change.

I had this problem for a long time, my connection would die whenever I refreshed the server list. Solved it by buying a new router.

I can't remember the last time I used the internet tab to find a server. I've got a good 10 or 12 servers in my favorites (mostly vanilla servers) that I never get tired of. it's nice because if you frequent certain servers you meet other regulars and eventually it gets more fun playing there because you know more people.
Oh wow, and I thought I was the only one getting this problem.

My friends tab continually links me with a server called "the furry pound" and nothing else. :tinfoil:
I can't join any of my favorite servers unless I join a random game from the list. Pisses me right the fuck off.
Am I the only one whose server browser sometimes just won't filter the list by a given criteria? I sometimes have to restart the game for the UI to accept ordering the list by ping/map etc

When I hit stop refreshing he starts refreshing again
