My friend has been having some problems with his TF2 lately. He bought the TF2 CD, and it worked fine before, but after a few problems with his PC, he had to reinstall, basically, everything. Then, today we installed Steam again. I don't know if it has something to do with him buying the TF2 CD instead of doing it through Steam, but TF2 didn't appear on the games list.
So, we try using the CD, and when we put the activation code in there, it just says it has already been used. Obviously, because he had used it before, but now we can't get TF2 to work. What could be causing this, shouldn't it already be on the My Games list? What should he do?
By the way, now he's using Vista.
Make sure you're using the same SteamID as the one you used the code on originally?

i tried to get a new key before, all i can say is good luck, because they simply WONT DO IT if you don't send them a picture of the CD key, with a receipt within the last 90 days, along with a special code they send you, all in the same picture.
