Hey everyone, if you're one of the few who saw me mention TF2R in the update thread then hey, you're now going to find out what the hell TF2R is.
TF2R is a website which uses the SteamAPI to give you the players the ability to create a raffle which is easy to setup and spread around, it will even do the hard job of picking the winners for you!
The idea behind a raffle site isn't as original as most people would be believe, it has been done before as which we all know.
However the previous attempts have been pretty... dreary to say the least so we wanted to do it right and make it work.
[sp]*cough*jessecar's mess of a site*cough*[/sp]
The site is currently in a working standard, it allows you to create raffles, provides you with a link to said raffle and even notifies you of when the raffle is over.
It will even notify the people who entered if they've won or lost.
However be aware that the newly released items which came out today wont be able to be entered into a raffle and will show up as invalid in the create raffle listing.
This is because we're waiting on TF2B to update their directory and images as we decided to use their setup for ease of access, however it does make a problem because we now have to wait for Shugo and Athernar to update it all, unless Miz does it when he gets back sometime tomorrow.
Now onto the big part, this site is designed on the "draw a ticket/number" scheme, that means we have no interface for item based entries. Because of this keep in mind that any item you put up to raffle, you are giving away for free.
We will also not moderate any of the raffles, if X person wins and Y refuses to give X the item, too bad it's Y's choice.
Last but not least, we have a search feature in the works for public raffles, but it's only about ~40% finished so we've kept it out of the way for now, if you do happen to find it don't be surprised if you find it's broken to hell and back, there is a reason it isn't shown in the navigation.
Now that's all cleared up, here's a link to the site: http://tf2r.com/
Also example raffle can be found here: http://tf2r.com/key/waywm.html
If you find any bugs or errors check the about page where you can find the contact details.
Or alternatively just fucking email us at admin@tf2r.com
Have fun.

But yes this will be very useful, thank you.
This is going to fail like its predecessors
I would like for you to stop being so mean to jessecar for the moment, he just got hacked and it's new site went down because of that.
I like it!
My old failure of a website: http://tf2raffles.com/
and yes I admit to this failure, It was my first real website
What is the point of hacking a small website like Jessecar's?
No idea bro, had the same reaction as you.
I like it, but I don't think many people are gonna use it.

If you're doing real raffle you should probably post in:

So, how are you supposed to find other peoples raffles?
Private ones, you have to have link to them. And there are none.
For public raffles will be search by item.
Did you fix/add anything I addressed? Anyway this is a awesome site.
What is the point of hacking a small website like Jessecar's?
Because it was an easy target. Lulzsec are so shit it was about the only thing they could get at.
Because it was an easy target. Lulzsec are so shit it was about the only thing they could get at.
So how come they hack Sony etc :I?
Exploits and premade tools.
Because it was an easy target. Lulzsec are so shit it was about the only thing they could get at.
It wasn't Lulzsec, it was some kid who found Jesse's password in the huge password leaks they did.
Now stop talking about that mess, this thread is about TF2R. :v:
I'm the only one that entered the Strange Rocket Launcher raffle posted in the OP :v:
So TF2R is just like a more secure and organized website? Fine by me

Lot more secure as it doesn't require you to sign up at all.
Everything is handled via OpenID.
I put a crate to raffle yesterday. No participants so far.

You need to pass the link around otherwise no one will know it exists.
You need to pass the link around otherwise no one will know it exists.
But it's public! I guess?
No, the only way to see others raffles is via link.
wish http://tf2r.com/search.html actually worked lol
