Some female scout soundpack progress - Games

100 subscribers, so I wanted to do something special. It's my first gmod, but I'm actually posting it here since it's a VERY small preview of the lines I've recorded so far (someone asked me for a sample, i guess this is a start). It's very nice, but my only criticism is that the voice sounds too much like the Scout's Mother and less like someone the Scout's own age. Still, very nice job. Hopefully the completion of this pack will come to fruition.

About that, we actually opted for the deeper voice because previous packs make her sound like too young a teen. We wanted to take a more realistic a less pedo-bear road since to be enlisted, she'd have to be between 18-20. But we'll try to work on an acceptable middle ground.

Awesome. Even if you don't like it, you can't deny it's better than that... OTHER female Scout and accompanying pack.

It's a good voice, but could use a bit more work. It sounds a bit like Scout's Momma, and retains a bit of nasality (not to offend or anything) in the voice... Although maybe the nasality could be kept in as a feature?

I agree about the too-young-teen thing, but aiming at a 17 year old who snuck would work better.

DustyOldRoses, did YOU do these voice overs? I love it!!! Next time you record (if you did) make sure to not be too close to the mic or use a type of muffle/sound absorption material so the P's and K's are not as harsh.

With some adjustments, this would definitely get me to download the female scout skin.

well, bit old sounding and some of them suffered from a bad mic, but it's a much better start

Compared with the medic stuff this is really nice and with some minor improvments, this could really become some awesome stuff.

I found 1:20 funny because normally people say Facepunch is the opposite of helpful..
