The Brand + Clocking question is pretty dumb because it doesn't tell anything really. I had dual core Pentium D at 3.2GHz and it was utter shit compared to Q6600 @ 2.6GHz I have now.
Clocking frequencies are overused measurement, while being mostly useless.

They're useful when comparing processors of the same architecture, of course it wouldn't be useful when comparing a P4 to a Quad core C2D.
