So I've garnered enough info from [url="http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=892394"]this[/url] thread and I've decided to make an entirely new thread promoting my server since people seemed to enjoy it.

The goal of the server is to stick to vanilla gaming with stock and good custom maps with occasional fun events to take a break. We aren't running any quake sounds or modified respawn times and our Hlstatsx is tuned for competitive scoring. We are also running the Equipment Manager plugin with all of the included hats (including Bill's Hat and the stacked prize hats) and some custom hats graciously provided by the hard working members of the Mod Emporium. There are included nominate/rtv/votekick/voteban/votemute functions if an admin is not present and something needs to be done.
Rules:
- Respect others, no racist/sexist/whatever remarks
- Micspam only allowed during set up
- Don't spray meatspin, hardcore/hentai porn, shock etc. sprays.
- One person mic spamming at a time
- Don't play the same shit over and over
- Make sure the stuff you play isn't ear rapingly bad quality
- Don't play annoying music, the admins shall determine what counts as annoying
- Try not to all speak at once
- English only please

Some FAQs
1)Do I have to download anything when I join?
You'll have to download a small join sound and all of the custom hats we use, if you don't mind seeing errors floating around you can turn off all downloads by going to Options>Multiplayer>Disallow custom files
2)What can I do if something is broken?
Contact me via PM here or add me on Steam through the little button at the bottom
3)The server is locked, what now?
Sometimes we use the server for PUGs/scrims, this usually occurs once or twice a week during weekends and is only for a short period of time
4)Will I get kicked for reserved slots?
The plugin we are running is a modified version of the default one, the server can fill up all the way so you don't have to worry about being kicked after waiting forever to join.
5)How can I help make the server better?
Send me the names of some good custom maps/make some nice looking custom hats and I'll add them to the server, in the case of custom hats I will give you credit as the creator.
6)What happens when an admin is abusing his/her powers?
Just contact me ASAP, that person's admin will be revoked
Mixing custom and normal maps is rarely a good idea tbh since most people will leave at the switch from one type to the other

Yeah the peak hours are a bit awkward for some people living overseas but if we end up filling the server 24/7 I'll open a second one.

the thing is that it will require multiple people spamming that script to have any effect on server performance, anti flood limits your chat messages to one every .75 of a second.
