Just install the extension, set your profile in the options page, and click on the TF2 icon to see your backpack. New items will appear in a bar in the space above your backpack. Clicking the Refresh button makes the extension check your tf2items.com page to see if there are any new items that were added to your backpack. The Stats button also displays your backpack stats and when the extension will automatically check your tf2items.com page again. The Options button lets you change whose backpack the extension will display. Overall, it's just a very nifty Chrome Extension for people who want to check on their backpacks without going ingame or onto tf2items.com.
This saves me 2 or 3 clicks on clicking address bar, typing tf then clicking the link to my tf2items page. And i use firefox :(

This is extremely useful, thanks.
Downloaded. It's awesome. Thanks!
Neat. Not that I idle, just got it to check.
Someone should make a Firefox version. I'm too used to Firefox to switch to chrome.
Idling now, this will help me check my items! :D Thanks
Tools.
Download'd.
Saves me from having to wait 30 minutes for tf2items to update.
Someone should make a Firefox version. I'm too used to Firefox to switch to chrome.
I second this statement
Saves me from having to wait 30 minutes for tf2items to update.
This. It is an outrage! It'd be nice if someone made a plug-in for Firefox, as well.
Saves me from having to wait 30 minutes for tf2items to update.
Actually, the backpack viewer runs off the same feed as tf2items.com IIRC - so, when tf2items.com refreshes, so does the Chrome Backpack Viewer. But yes, this nifty extension does save quite a bit of time.
Very useful, I give you a tool.
Saves me from having to wait 30 minutes for tf2items to update.
That this guy said
Actually, the backpack viewer runs off the same feed as tf2items.com IIRC - so, when tf2items.com refreshes, so does the Chrome Backpack Viewer. It runs Didrole's Steam Item Manager at the same time, which sees changes to your backpack instantly. You'll get an email notification of whatever drops [you can set to get a notification for X number of unlocks or X number of hats] Some people even use their Email-2-SMS gateway so they get notified on their cellphone. Nothing's more beautiful than receiving a sexy SMS saying you found a hat, or that your wife sent the kids to the in-laws for the night.
Holy--- This is awesome!
Firefox pls.
I would definitely use this if I didn't use Firefox.
Works amazingly and conveniently. [editline]11:33PM[/editline]
What's this I see on the horizon, a browser war? Take cover men.
Both are excellent browsers, which one's better is just preference. Chrome is faster and cleaner which is perfect for people who want a quick and simple internet. Firefox has much more customization option, like greasemonkey, and many other addons. Great for people who want more control over their browsing experience.
The latest version of Chrome supports about 75% of the Greasemonkey scripts on http://userscripts.org/
