I don't normally plug this sort of thing outside of our website, but I really dig this community and thought you guys may like this bit of Polycount news:

A Polycount Pack wallpaper as we gear up for its release, which is hopefully sooner than later.

This was my wallpaper for a while, but the low resolution of it was a bit obvious, I'd love that in higher res:

A more optimistic view: Surely this is evidence that's it's coming soon...like this week. Thursday, to be precise.
I'd love to cook up a wallpaper of the winning entries. I just need the pack to be released for that to happen!

Well I'll be honest with you all, I don't really like the texturing of the soldier pack at all. The brush strokes seem a bit too... Cartoony.
But besides a few qualms with the packs, Looking forward to it.
Soldier polycount pack was my least favorite.

Everyone is excited about the Black Box, but I would much rather see what the Battalions Back Up does.

I would have preferred a medic or engie pack then a soldier pack.

Neat little thing, but I don't see why it being on polycount makes it deserve it's own thread.
You can actually see at the bottom part, that the characters have been badly cut out. :/

That was my 2nd favorite Pyro pack (the Attendant one was a tad better imo), nonetheless, it's still awesome. Could you release the flamethrower as a skin for the original? It's brilliant, are you also planning to post it through the "Contribute" page?

That's what I was thinking at first...fits in with Valve Time, and would make sense in terms of a big update. But no...just no. Is not possible!
