• Free lottery #9 - recreation information

Hey everyone. I'm still on my mobile but let me explain what's going on and why I am redoing the lottery. As many of you know I created the ninth lottery about 4 days ago. Everything went well without a problem. I created a thread here on the steam forums and on the facepunch forums. And I wanted to leave it with that, though I did forget to post it on my lottery group. Now, I soon found out my private lottery links on my lottery website were shared on a different website which is known to share private tf2r raffle links which filled most of the lottery slots thus the reason why it ended so fast. I can't post the caused website here on the forums because the steam forums has blocked the words. So someone here can take the blame for all the mess. Those who won on the steam forums and facepunch can receive their items by mailing me at claim@tf2lottery.com with your profile name and facepunch forums name. The reason for the mail is because I am not at home and the internet died where I usually am. I'll have to re think of what to do to recreate the lottery.
Hopefully I'll be able to join this next one :smile:
Oh fourchan, you so silly.
It's just a matter of time for me to come up with a new idea how to manage the whole deal..
Why does it matter so much from where people entered? Make a Steam group and tell people that you need to be in that group in order to win? And only link that group on Facepunch and spuf? I dunno..
Segab. It matters because I want the steam/facepuch people also have a chance in winning where I posted the lottery. I never expected that a anonymous user posted the private URL on 4chan. Now that I'm familiar with the site that usually posts private raffles on it I'll be extra careful. I've already suggested to TF2R to create a system with invite URL's that can only be used once.
4chan is scum. Deal with it.
Indeed I am going to deal with it. May not be the general idea you had in mind for a reply, but I won't let them ruin the fun.
Update: Thanks to Miz, TF2R.com now has the ability to create raffles with an option that you need an invite link in order to join the lottery. This link can be only used once. Now I can create a fair raffle/lottery for you guys. This means more work for me, but it's nothing I'm not used to.
4chan is scum. Deal with it.
4chan != /b/
I've re-created the raffle on TF2R.com. In the next few days, I'll make it public.
