I see the Steam Fourms whineing ALL the time, it isn't something new. Most of the time it only lasts a week or so like the announcement of L4D2, but this time, it's been going on forever. This has caught my attention and left me asking, "Why do people think the Heavy is so underpowered? Whenever I see him played people always seem to top the score board if there good." Of course asking this on the Steam Fourms will just get people whineing again so I figured I'd ask a different group of people to see what they think about the Heavy.
Personally, I don't find ANYTHING wrong with him, he is the most balanced class In TF2, besides the Soldier. (This is just my opinion)

Nope, it's fine in my opinon.
It has it's strengths and weaknesses.
Just like every class
No, he destroys every other class one on one, but when he's teamed up on he dies VERY quickly.
Nah, he's great for his purpose
it's perfectly designed, so you're immobile while shooting, but you have incredibly powerful firepower

Thats a big reason everyone complains about why he is underpowered over at Steam Fourms. I don't get it either.
But he's supposed to die easily when he's not supported by the team. He's still human after all.

Even the TF2 Wiki says that a lone Heavy isn't very effective and :words:
Whenever I play Heavy (which is all the time) I never go alone into battle because I know that it's practically suicide to not have some backup.
The people who whine obviously think they're too good retreat or stay with the team.
Seriously, every time I'm within a group, I never killed by anything other than spies or snipers.
Surprisingly, I think Natascha makes it all the better.
All he needs is his fist taunt to have infinite range.
Dude I just keep the crosshairs on people and they fall down.
The problem is that the spy and sniper are the heavy's biggest weaknesses, and there were a ton of them around after the update making playing heavy a recipe for disaster. Now that things have mostly settled down it's all good.

On the off chance I'm playing heavy I usually use Natascha and I love it.

This is completely true, he's not very good for competitive play
however being as the game was designed for pub play that's not really an issue
Well if anything I'd like to see him not getting thrown around everywhere by the FAN and airblast.

and really, the heavy is quite balanced and is extremelly powerful when mastered
and if you mix it with a medic that knows how to evade snipers, you get a baby graveyard machine
I think his learning curve is quite what it use to be, but I wouldn't say he isn't balanced. He just got a bit more tricky to play.
Demoman really needs a buff.

Well anyone saying it is underpowered should just chill with me and my kritzkrieg. The heavy has the highest dps output with crits in the game.
