Most of these are just my observation/opinion/ect. Agree or disagree, box me, I don't care. Just read it. Or not. The scout. First of all classes and easily the most annoying. More like for some people. I don't understand what's the deal with them and why everyone seems to have a hard time killing them. Sure, they move fast and hit hard. But why can't anyone hit them? My aim is mediocre and I still kill scouts with the axtinguisher regularly. Even FaN scouts tend to get killed going up against me most of the time, regardless of class. Related to that, why do people complain about the FaN? Sure, it sends you in the air. Sure, most people die instantly from two point blank shots, but the only thing about it different from the scattergun is two bursts of slightly more pellets right after each other. I have no problem avoiding being hit, and most FaN scouts can't fight worth beans. If he got in close enough to kill you right off, you're either gleefully oblivious of your rear or you're not a good enough player to avoid being killed, meaning it's your problem and not theirs or VALVe's. The soldier. Mostly, I don't have anything against this class, except that quite a few of them are a little too spy paranoid. It's not like most of us spies pick you as our primary targets... The pyro. Oh goodie, this topic. I'll probably get a huge storm of angry posts for this in particular. There is nothing wrong with being a pyro. Again, my only problem with it is a rather specific issue. They're all paranoid. While there's nothing wrong with a spycheck here and there, these guys go overboard. If it isn't spychecking in the spawn room, there's some trigger-happy nutjob that checks an obscure corner and sets me on fire in a huge flame-sweep. Being a spy is almost impossible on a well-populated server with more than one or two pyros; the entire role of spy (attempting to infiltrate, disguise, and cause mass hysteria) is often compromised by some nut with a passion for burning. I can't tell you how many times I was caught on fire and found out by the entire enemy team simply because of a random check in the most unlikely spot possible. It's unreasonable, annoying, uncalled for and close to impossible to avoid (remember that huge flame reach?). It's not like I backstab most of the pyros I encounter anyway. He isn't overpowered, either. A crit flamethrower can kill you almost instantly, but so can a well-placed sniper headshot. So can a field of stickybombs you didn't see, and so can a scattergun crit. Stop. Complaining. The demoman. Our favorite black Scottish cyclops. Again, few beefs with this one, except that they seem to occasionally give in to paranoia as well and bomb whole rooms unnecessarily. At some point I was crit stickied by a random check in the middle of a room, where I just happened to be standing (I don't use corners most of the time). The heavy. Gotta love this guy. Not that many problems with this one, but still unwarranted paranoia persists. I try to uncloak to backstab and they spin around. Every. Single. Time. And I die. Every. Single. Time. It doesn't matter if they're close enough to hear. They just assume every spy is out to kill them, which isn't the case. I pass up most in favor of juicier targets like engineers. The engineer. Paranoia is his favorite pastime. When he isn't building something, he's spychecking every surface nearby, and I suppose it's for a good enough reason, though it's still mildly annoying. The medic. Hey, I'm over here bleeding to death, and you're busy healing that AFK heavy. Help! I'm on fire! What's this? I look like a spy, even though I'm standing in front of you shooting, fighting for my life? Oh no! We'll waste seconds of your life while you die painfully as we spycheck you to make *absolutely* sure you weren't faking that shooting business, and then we'll go back to healing those AFK heavies that need health like they do another hamburger. The sniper. I have mostly respect for these, but they, too, suffer from paranoia when I briefly pop out and bother somebody else who isn't them. The spy. Everyone who plays this class well needs to be given a beer, a high five, and a medal. My second most-played class is the spy, and there rarely goes by one sitting of TF2 that doesn't involve some sort of spy work. The most victimized, if he makes one mistake, he dies. But frankly, I can't tell you how I get caught so easily. When they show up, I have an insanely hard time trying to stop them, whereas when I play (I've gotten good at it) I seem to always get into a situation where I tend to die if I bump one person. The cause eludes me. That's it. I touched on some of the bigger class issues that people moan about. This is just my observation so far.
Everyone is paranoid. Headshot them.
sry wall of text i won't read it
man ur so fukken pro with ur skillz
Finally someone who doesn't rant about the pyro being overpowered because they suck ass.
The Q key is your friend. Use it to switch to your pistol. Too many spies make this mistake.
Dead ringer is your friend. solves 90% of the above stated problems
EVERY class is overpowered, thats what makes it balanced.
Paranoia is what makes me a good spy, demoman, medic, heavy, soldier, pyro, scout, sniper and engineer.
I never heal anyone as a Medic, you never know what those crafty Spies could be up to.

This post seems to be hiding an agenda for the Spy, you sure dislike spy checking. The only class I have a problem with right now is the Heavy, he's the weak link right now in terms of class effectiveness. Sure on a normal pub it's easy to top the scoreboard with him, but get on any server with decent regulars. Talented Demos and Soldiers will take you out with ease, even from a close-mid range where the Heavy is supposed to excel. I love playing my Hoovy but it's hard to when everyone else gets all these toys that make me obsolete. :frown:
A close range class killed you at close range? MY, GOD!!!
He's a troll.
I would be one of those random spycheck pyros :v: I pick up the normal hiding locations and spycheck them every time I pass. Same goes when I have my jarate as sniper.
How can you criticise Pyros for spychecking too much? That's a good thing.
He's a troll.
How dare you. Filthy Lepers.
The best solution is to simply grit your teeth and identify the jumpy ones. Sneak behind them and headshot them from close-medium range. I love getting right behind snipers and headshotting them point blank, execution style, because they think they are so smart that they use the razorback. If all else fails just relentlessly target the pyronoids enough so that they change class in frustration.

If being paranoid didn't work, people would probably not be so paranoid. For example, are you never paranoid when you play the other classes than spy, or even when you DO play the spy? If not, you probably often get killed by enemy spies that you could easily have killed if you just wasn't dumb enough to decide that random spychecking doesn't work for you. I happen to be one of those people who accidentally spycheck even in spawn, simply because when someone runs in the direction opposite of the battlefield, they're often a spy.
Pyros, Valve should put something good up, Like, while in cloak you can't be on fire, If you then get set on fire and then cloak, you will still be on fire, It would be a better aproach towards their paranoia [editline]06:51PM[/editline] Also, I still remember a mentally inneficent Medic healing a literally AFK player, and since I was a Scout, and I had like 10 health left, instead of healing me, he would rather type a retarded message "Go away" and don't heal me, What the fuck?

So you're bitching that people won't let you, a spy, get behind them and kill them?
I started off fairly optimistic, then I got to:
I still kill scouts with the axtinguisher regularly
and realised that you were just inviting us to jack of to your pr0 skillz. I mean, I know you must be a total playa, but we don't really need a thread about it.
Spy is more of a patient class. I cloak and wait for my prey. I kill High-Value targets behind enemy lines to help my buddies up on the front lines.
Dead ringer is your friend. solves 90% of the above stated problems
Quoted for some truth. It also starts a HUGE MASS of paranoia once people hear the LOUD BUZING NOISE or are aware that a dr spy is around. They also make it hard to kill sometimes, since they appear, get shot, dissapear, appear again, get shot, and so on with the same thing untill you actually kill him or just get killed. 100% agree with your thread. I see it from a sorta different way. Scouts: Their not really easy to kill if they actually know what to do, or even pretend to know. They are, however, annoying, since they seem to sometimes be everywhere, and seem to FaN you to death with just 1 or 2 shells even though it wasnt point blank, and the running makes me remember flies... Soldiers: I too am a spy, and I have to tell, these guys ARE paranoid! Something bumps into them, and I say it again, SOMETHING, and they start shooting rockets at their feet until they either get low on hp or until your dead. Adding to that, they appear in the most unexpected places, and seem to carry a crit rocket for me everytime that is needed. Pyros: Only got 2 things against these lil wingless dragons. The glitchy ass flame range, which either gets you from a little further away then usual or doesnt gets you at all at point blank range (little.. right...), and their OBSSESSION in burning spies. I was playing badwater a while ago, the 2nd point wasnt even capped, and I managed to pass the red spawn door after it. Some people saw me, and a sniper and a pyro came after me. The sniper quit right after getting to the ledge before the 3rd point, but the pyro chased me all the way to the tyres near the sniper house near the red base, killing me there. Srsly, he just dropped everything, ran a mile just to kill a lone spy... Because helping your team is not as important as running down to the end of the world to kill a noob spy... Other then that, their mostly easy to kill, even as a spy. Demoman: I hate to kill them, but its fun :D. Their the easiest to kill as a spy, and in addition, they give me their face for most of the time :P. Its also my second class after spy. They get a little paranoid, but their easy to kill. Heavy: Soo much pleasure in backstabing heavies and medics and whatever more while they "push tiny cart"... They suffer from early minute paranoia. As soon as they hear spy, they rev up their guns, and when im about to stab them (uncloaked, and not decloaked near him) they turn back quickly like ninjas and kill me... They get a little annoying when they do this, but the best option is to rely on your team, distracting them, and slipping them the knife. Engineer: Paranoid with a reason. Although, they seem to have a crit wrench stored for me everytime they need it. This going as far as the same engineer critting me 3 times in a row, and once being killed by an engineer whacking the wrench in the air... Ah well... Medics: They never seem to heal disguised spies, dunno why... But they sure love to saw us to death for extra uber. After that, they make excellent knife targets. They are paranoid as hell. Sniper: Poor guys, either get shot to death, or backstabbed. Their paranoid with a reason, and when they even think theres a spy around, its kukri-the-arena time... Spies: Their nice for spychecking. Why? Because a disguised spy sees you, and assumes you dont know hes an enemy. He goes to stab a key target, and you get him while hes distracted. Another thing that sometimes happens, is backstabbing cloakies by accident. DR spies are annoying as hell though, and to be completly honest, our greatest enemy is the failstab. You either stab them in the face, or you dont stab their backs at all, and thats just plain retarded... tl:dr... meh, I like to write :P
I hate scouts, mostly because I play demo. BUT THE LITTLE BUGGERS ALWAYS SEEM TO COME IN SWARMS
