Ok well im trying to make my own tf2 server and i was wondering how i can start it via command line. I got the stuff downloaded from srcds.exe so i just need to know what i gotta do to start the server. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks!
create a shortcut of srcds. and add with the target line heres what it should look like
srcds.exe -command -gui -game tf
thats a simple way to start and go to
srcds.com
you will learn a lot there.

edit: also how does the MOTD work in tf2 servers?
Find the motd.txt and edit it. It should be in the "orangebox/tf/motd.txt"
