Yay, I have released the millionth FPS config ever, but seriously, this took some time and effort (this isn't copypasta served cold). I hope this is self-explanatory for most people, if not, please ask questions, etc.
Gibs, sprays, (no colored ubers unless you adjust mat_specular "0" to "1"), and voice are present.

I take no credit for this, rename, claim as your own, whatever.
What is it?
I'm afraid I don't follow?
It's a cfg which sets tf2 to run on performance and not graphics.
Or thats what I guess.

No, but it INCREASES preformance.

Am I the only one who understood what he said?
I understood it perfectly.
I'm gonna try it and post my results here.
High fps config
Apologies, this is a FPS config (I did not coin the term myself), basically, it turns down visuals for a smoother gameplay experience.
Also, I laughed at somebody's sarcasm, whomever's that may be (Informative x1).
In my experience, it gives me roughly the same FPS as my old FPS config, only difference is that this one looks loads better.

Great. :3
I'm going to play for a few more days and see how better or worse. It does seem to run slightly worse than my old config. Strangely enough, it seems to handle intense action better.
should I name the file Speed.cfg or autoexec.cfg?

autoexec.cfg, haha.
Unless you put "exec speed.cfg" in your autoexec.cfg.

Fair enough.
Could you post your old FPS config/tell who it is by? I'm rather curious.
tl;dr It rapes graphics in exchange for more frames per second.

Indeed, thanks for summarizing it like that. Fortunately, I'm getting a new graphics card. I will keep the FPS config, and adjust the video section to 'high', and change -dxlevel 81, to -dxlevel 95.
Thus, decent looking visuals and good FPS.
autoexec.cfg, haha.
Unless you put "exec speed.cfg" in your autoexec.cfg.

After more testing, I have found that it handles very well in intense combat situations, a bit better than my old config. I will now be using this from now on.
screens? please?
What PunchedInFac said.
screens? please?
Sure.

Looks awful, I admit, but I don't run it like pictured. I run at 1920x1200, 2x AA, and High textures, but honestly, you don't really notice how awful it looks while playing.

It's true, Screenshots always look worse than the actual game while it's running.
mat_filterlightmaps 0 doesn't increase fps. It's already running underneath the filtered. It will only increase fps on 10 year old integrated graphics cards which don't even launch tf2. And it should be -dxlevel 80 that may for some people give additional fps. And -high in launch options only works for some cpus, on my old and for some others it always froze on loading or mid game.
I Hope I helped.
That's not a proper FPS config ^

This is a proper FPS config
This is what i have played on since they released the classless update.

Thanks for your insight, and I run my game on my other computer with -dxlevel 80, most people seem to prefer 81.
-high seems to make no difference for me, so I just left it there.

Oh, right. That would be one~
This FPS config is great. I used to get around 35fps, now I get around 150 haha, thanks!

Glad I could help~ :3
it looks just like a better animated TFC, with worse textures.
it makes my CALCULATED Fps rise to about 300, theres a hard cap of 60 FPS on my system, dont know why.
Holy fucking shit, go get a job and buy a 60 dollar video card. Almost anything at that price can run this game on med/high.
Nice config, it works well, but what exactly does the "-high" launch option do?
how do I turn off the messages in the top left corner of the screen?

Get rid of "-developer" in the launch options.
