[B]BEFORE YOU READ: I now realise there is another thread that has people discussing item prices and such, but I won't remove this because I think that this could be a more universal way for people to find item values and compare with other item values.[/B]
Hey guys,
I was trading in TF2 and I'm not really that great at knowing how much items are worth so I got turned down LOADS. Then I thought there should be some sort of item rating thread where people can just [B]CTRL[/B] + F and type the item they want to buy / sell. After some searching (but not enough obviously as I couldn't see what was right in front of my face) I couldn't find anything, so I created an account here and made this thread.
Now because I'm not very familiar with TF2 items and trading and value and all that I'm going to need you guys to help.

Self-Made and Community items cannot be traded at all.
Theoretically, they have infinite value much like items in Developer quality because it requires a specific distribution to certain individuals or they wouldn't even exist.

It's like money.
Instead of trading item for item you assign the items a value and trade with items of the same value just so that you can be sure that you're not being ripped off. If someone who is new to the game comes in and wants to trade something they can check the value of it on this thread and see if the other person has something of a similar value, otherwise how would they know?

What if I want to pay 3x for something and your list says that it's worth less/more?
The real problem with the MannConomy is that players try to get fixed price, but the thing is, there are no real prices.

Then you're letting the other player get something that's worth 3x as much as the list and im sure they'll be fine with it.

I thought we were going to rate peoples named/descripted/painted items with FP ratings. Title misleading.

Item values are terrible and should be destoryed
For the last time, putting set values on cosmetic items which are completely based on opinion is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. When Im trading, a hats worth is determined on wether or not I like it!
Item value websites are complete and total trash. The worth of a hat should be decided by your personal opinion. But people try to act like hat trading is a working economy with set values and such, It isn't.
What's so incredibly gay is the use of "FP" as currency here. Get a life kid.

Also, what does an "FP" equal? Refined? Scrap? Weapon?
Plus, why rate every stock weapon one of them? There are strange stock weapons and the value changes a lot
