Ive used source tools without a backup
It didnt work so i wanted to change it to mode 1 and it got me into an error.
Now my game always looks like im running on dxlevel 80, i tryed to type in mat_dxlevel 95 and everything was fine until next game startup. Any ideas on how to fix this permenantly.
Ive also tryed reinstalling tf2 and deleting cfg folder nothing helped.
Try putting -autoconfig in the launch options.
Delete the tf folder, get rid of any pre-launch commands, re-install again, update drivers and if any of that doesn't work get a new graphics card or computer.

Thanks the -autoconfig seems to work just fine
But any ideas to make my tf2 simply to be the way it was before without any of the launch options?
If anyone would be lost like sprays i dont realy care just want it to be like before.

Go into steamapps/<steam-name>team fortress 2 and delete the tf file.

I told you i tryed that didnt work
Okay, I sense you're desperate, so you're obviously desperate enough to listen to this highly simple and highly unlikely to do anything for more than one launch fix.
-autoconfig in your launch options, launch the game, close the game, remove -autoconfig and go back into the game. Check your settings in your options menu, raise what you can back to what it was. If you're still in 8.1, close the game and put in -dxlevel 95 like you tried before, go back ingame and check it, close the game, remove -dxlevel 95 from your launch options and go back ingame to check it again.
Other than doing this, I have no idea. It's simple and won't screw anything up, but it's also simple and likely not to do anything for more than one launch.
Edit: Filled it out a bit so it's easier to understand now.
You can just remove the -autoconfig and it should still work, it worked for me at least.
